This Privacy Policy describes how Code Works OOD ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Animallo mobile application ("App"). The App is designed for children and families, and we are committed to protecting the privacy of young users.
1. Who We Are
Code Works OOD
Sofia, Republic of Bulgaria
Contact: hello@codeworks.bg
2. Our Commitment to Children's Privacy
Animallo is a children's educational app. We have designed it with privacy as a priority:
- We do not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
- We do not serve advertisements
- We do not track users across other apps or websites
- We do not share data with third parties for advertising or profiling purposes
- In-app purchases require a Parental Control step to prevent accidental or unauthorized purchases by children
3. What Data We Collect
We do not collect any information that directly identifies a user (such as name, email address, or location). The following data is collected automatically and in anonymized form:
3.1 Usage & Analytics Data
We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymized information about how the App is used, including:
- App sessions and screen navigation
- In-game events
- Feature interactions
Advertising personalization and ad storage are disabled. This data is used solely to understand how the App is used and to improve the experience.
3.2 Crash Reports
We use Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) to collect crash and error reports, including:
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Stack traces at the time of the crash
This data is used exclusively to diagnose and fix technical issues.
3.3 Purchase Information
If a premium purchase is made, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not receive or store any payment details. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was completed in order to unlock premium content.
4. Advertising Identifiers
We have explicitly disabled the collection of advertising identifiers on all platforms:
- iOS: The App does not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission and does not access the IDFA
- Android: Collection of the Google Advertising ID (GAID) and Android SSAID is disabled at the application level
5. How We Use the Data
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Analytics events | Understanding how the App is used; improving features |
| Crash reports | Diagnosing and fixing bugs |
| Purchase confirmation | Activating premium content |
No collected data is used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than those listed above.
6. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Firebase Analytics — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Firebase Crashlytics — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Apple App Store — apple.com/legal/privacy
- Google Play — policies.google.com/privacy
7. Parental Controls & In-App Purchases
Before any in-app purchase can be initiated, the App presents a Parental Control screen requiring the completion of a simple arithmetic challenge. This is designed to ensure that purchases are made with parental awareness and consent.
Parents and guardians can also manage and restrict in-app purchases through the device's built-in parental controls:
- iOS: Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions
- Android: Google Play → Settings → Parental Controls
8. Data Retention
Analytics and crash data is retained for 2 months, after which it is automatically deleted from Firebase servers. Purchase confirmation data is not stored by us.
9. Your Rights (GDPR & GDPR-K)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you or your child's parent or guardian may contact us at any time at hello@codeworks.bg.
The data collected by the App is anonymized and is not linked to any identifiable user or device. Because no personal information is collected, we are unable to retrieve or delete data associated with a specific individual upon request.
To stop all future data collection, simply uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes the app instance and no further data will be collected.
We will respond to any privacy-related inquiry within 30 days.
10. COPPA Compliance (United States)
The App complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The anonymized, non-identifiable data described in this policy does not constitute personal information under COPPA. No advertising identifiers are collected.
11. Data Security
We rely on Firebase's security infrastructure (Google Cloud) to protect collected data. We do not store any user data on our own servers.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Significant changes will also be noted in the App's release notes on the App Store and Google Play. We encourage parents and guardians to review this policy periodically.
